In looking through a friend's blog as well as mine there are pictures of pleasant and happy times. It is easy to forget that those pictures are only a glimpse of life. I haven't really shared the hard times and struggles on here. In part that is because I am tired and don't have the energy to convey those struggles in the way I desire, as from a grateful heart, rather than a complaining spirit. The other reason is that God has given tremendous blessing during the difficult times and it is important to set up stones as they did in the Old Testament to remember. In a way this blog is my stone...my testimony of the many blessing from God.
With that said, I am posting this because life isn't all beach days and fun. There have been many struggles and this songs says well how we press on. We do press on in Jesus' name and we press on in His strength. With Christ's work on the cross, dying for us, and being raised we have, through repentance and faith, the true hope of eternal life and rest.
