Sleeping baby and crochet project. Kiddos being big helpers.
Infused with happenings and allergy free living. "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation."

Cleaning Day
Fridays have been designated for extra cleaning in our home. We also do extra cooking to get through the weekend. Both the extra cleaning and cooking have been helpful in enjoying our family rest day on Saturdays and fellowship at church on Sundays. Kiddos are wonderful helpers!

Favorite Things
Matt built this fantastic step stool for Isaac. It has been a helpful addition to our kitchen! The step stool is based off the plans for the helper tower from ana-white.com.
Another favorite item is the small nylon knife Isaac is using. My kiddos all like cutting with this knife. It cuts vegetables, but doesn't cut them. The knife is from Curious Chef.
Couplets
Mondays have been designated poetry day in our home school schedule.
This morning my kiddos each wrote a couplet. They had some help from Mama, but came up with their topic, first line ending word and lists of rhyming words. Plus they helped count syllables.
They are cute little poems, so I thought I would share them here.
The book is being read by the boy.
A day reading books is such a joy.
~Matthew
Outdoors plays the boy.
He has his best toy.
-Josiah
Quietly sits the doll.
There she is not afoul.
~Abigail
We began our poetry time by reading Psalm 121. Then we read several poems from Favorite Poems Old and New Selected by Helen Ferris.
Our poetry lesson came from Writing Poetry with Children published by Evan-Moor.
